Thank you to the special animal souls That are now a part of mine: Duke, Duchess, Thomas, Kitty, Heidi, Red, Sammy, Bailey, Tripp, Honey, Ruby, Thomas 2, Mr. A, Mommy Cat, Sophie, Striped Cat, Black Dog, Sylvester, Beauty School, Kit-Ten, Shark, and Tuxedo, my love.

I would also like to thank my amazing friends and family and the powerful goddess women warriors and spiritual teachers who supported me and lifted me up with their presence, love, and guidance. All of you helped me weather the wild, powerful, and seemingly endless storm that life threw my way. I know it wasn’t easy and it did take a village. I love you and am full of gratitude for each of you:

Friends: Lisa, Victoria, Laurie, Joyce, Heidi

Family: Mom & Grandma (in spirit), Kathy, Ben, Adriane, and Aunt Carol

Powerful goddess women warriors and spiritual teachers: Andrea, Suzan, and Zhena

I give special thanks to Zhena Muzyka for her encouragement, inspiration, and guidance in showing me I had a book inside me waiting to be released to the world. It was through our work together that Meditating with Animals was brought to life.

I extend my deepest gratitude to Dr. Lois Barnes, MD, for being the angel who found my cancer. You were put in my life in perfect divine timing and are the reason I am here now writing this book.

I give additional thanks to Dr. Robert Ruder, my awesome surgeon, for your thorough diagnosis, skilled care, and genuine kindness during a difficult time, and to Dr. Tricia Westhoff Pankratz (Dr. W) for your knowledgeable aftercare and being super cool and patient with me when I know I must have been really annoying.

I would also like to thank my father for being who he was because he made me who    I AM.

Thank you to Emily Dickinson for these beautiful words that I have always felt were written for me:

If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain.
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,

Or help one fainting robin

Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

With all the love in my heart, Pamela
